Destination Science Camp

(For Students Entering Grades K – 6)

(Become a science maker, robot builder and engineer your own Starship! Over 15 STEM activities and make & take projects, three science stations per day, plus games, challenges, sill songs and all the fun of camp!

Science Camp (I) — DinoBot Builders & Crazy ChemLab

Calling All Dinosaur Fans! Build your own motorized moving ‘DinoBot’ from the ground up. Become a Paleontologist & uncover ancient fossils with your own excavating tools. Explore form and function as we investigate dinosaur diversity. Race and battle youyr DinoBot at the Jurassic Games. Enter and explore our Crazy Chemistry Lab each day and step-up to matter changing experiments. Grow magic rocks and giant crystals on a dinosaur’s back, experiment with jelly polymer creatures and slimy worms. Discover bounceability with silly putty and make your own superball. Use a plasma ball to follow the path of electricity, construct a working piano as you discover pitch, frequency, vibration and so much more.

This camp explores:

Concepts of Robotics & Chemistry: paleontology, prehistoric reptiles, engineering design, tools, states of matter, energy, symmetry of atoms, elasticity, chemical reaction, electricity, plasma, sound science and more.

Schedule: 7/15/24 – 7/19/24, M – F, 9:00AM – 3:00PM

Science Camp (II) — Superhero Physics Fun Camp

Hey Super Fun-a-tics! Build your own souped-up, superhero vehicle while experimenting with open & closed circuits, friction & torque, and Newton’s Laws of Motion. Let’s unlock superpowers as we explore the science behind Flash lightning speed, Ant Man’s micro strength, Frozen’s icy power, Superman’s superhuman strength, Batman’s gadgets and Invisi Girl’s illusions. Engineer your own Super Sidekick complete with sound sensors and digital recording powers. Join us as we step into solving creative challenges with all the superheroes!

This camp explores:

Concepts of Superhero Science: Laws of motion, circuitry, rotational forces, speed of light, muscle fibers, states of matter, optical illusions, sensors, sound science and more.

Schedule: 7/22/24 – 7/26/24, M – F, 9:00AM – 3:00PM

Science Camp (III) — Space Base Astronaut Camp

Join our 1st ever Mars Colony! Explore what you and your team of astronaut friends will need to survive in space. Your base camp must withstand powerful wind storms and meteor showers. Be prepared for an emergency return to Earth in your own personal space pod. Next, build your own solar powered Mars Rover. Create the tools needed to uncover the Red Planet’s secrets. Challenge your Rover to a space race over rocky terrains & craters. Uncover volcanic energy and erupt your own mini volcano. Discover supersonic aviation, fly a sensor powered drone, journey through the planets and build your own solar system model. Prepare for a Space Adventure!

This camp explores:

Concepts of Space Base Astronaut Camp: Living things need, design, climate, forces acting on structure, solar power, obstacles, geothermal energy, lava, aerodynamics, sensors, planetary system and more.

Schedule: 7/29/24 – 8/02/24, M – F, 9:00AM – 3:00PM
